About Darlowo Lighthouse

Darlowo lighthouse is a lighthouse on the Polish coast of the Baltic Sea in Darlowo, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in Poland. The lighthouse is placed between Gaski and the Jaroslawiec. The first mention of Darlowo lighthouse is from 1715 when the city council ordered lighting fixtures to be set up on each sides of the mouth of the river Wieprz. These light installations remained for decades, until 1885 whilst brick harbour port station was constructed at the base of the eastern breakwater - to which the tower became square tower. The lighthouse became topped with a crimson light which had a number approximately 6 nautical miles.

The lighthouse turned into expanded and renovated in 1927, whilst an extra ground became introduced to the lighthouse constituted of a metallic frame used as the principle lantern room housing a optic with a prism assembled on the 13th degree of the lighthouse.
