About Stadthuys

It was set up in 1650. It is the official home of the Dutch Governor and his officers. The Stadthuys is a fine case of Dutch design of that period. It is accepted to be the most seasoned Dutch working in the East. An extraordinary case of pilgrim Dutch design, this building now houses the History Museum and Ethnography Museum.

In plain view there are conventional marriage outfits and relics from Malacca's more than 400-year history. The two exhibition halls are well-laid out and offer itemized clarifications of how these ensembles and relics had their impact in Malacca's superb past. The Stadthuys is the focal point of old Malacca. On the off chance that you discover Jalan Kota, you won't miss the substantial red building.
