Gunung Keriang Mount Keriang is a 250 million year old chunk of predominantly limestone shake which is said to be in the state of an elephant and achieves a tallness of 218 meters.It is situated around 8 km north-west of Alor Setar near the Kedah Paddy Museum.
It is geographically interesting and ten unique rocks are found here including alluring calcite precious stones which are much looked for after by authorities and fung-shui devotees. Like the vast majority of Malaysia's limestone arrangements, the slope is filled with caverns including a bigger one known as Gua Keriang. On the south eastern edge of the slope is the Gunung Keriang Recreational Park which has strolling trails with solid railings and review gazebos. It is conceivable to climb up to the summit to get great perspectives of the encompassing rice fields.
