About Renge-ji Temple

This is a sanctuary that has a place with the Tendai Sect, situated in the northern piece of Kyoto. Initially the sanctuary had a place with the Jishu Sect and was moved to its unique area close Kyoto Station. The sanctuary was pulverized in the Onin War 1467-1477 and was resuscitated in 1662 by Imaeda Chikayoshi.
