About Asuka Historical Museum
It is situated in the memorable Asuka locale of Nara Prefecture, near Asukadera Temple and Asukaniimasu Shrine, was set up in 1975 and is a piece of the Nara National Research Institute for Cultural Properties.
The Asuka Historical Museum looks to clarify the history and culture of the Asuka Period of Japanese history, when Buddhism was brought into Japan and the establishments of the Chinese and Korean-affected Yamato state were set up in the seventh century.
The exhibition hall shows archeological materials, for example, rooftop tiles, ceramics and coins, artistic work and copies of critical finds.
