Palazzo Madama

Turin is stuffed loaded with lavish royal residences and historical buildings and the Palazzo Madama is the second castle to be situated in the Piazza Castello.

Made in the first century BC, the original palace has remained for many years during the Roman Empire and was changed and based upon intensely during resulting years.

Initially ,serving as a guarded fortress, it was not until the thirteenth century that the building turned into a royal residence.

Remaining in the Castello square, the front façade of the royal residence includes a line of ornate columns and a palisade decked with figures.

Inside the royal residence you can stroll up the luxuriously decorated stairways and respect the magnificent debauchery of the different rooms and hallways.
