About Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity

The Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity is the cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Waterford and Lismore placed in Barronstrand Street, Waterford City, Ireland. The cathedral became designed by using John Roberts in 1793 and has the difference of being the oldest cathedral of the Roman Catholic Church in Ireland. A chapel had formerly stood on the equal floor, having been built there at the height of the Penal Laws at the request of the Roman Catholic community of Waterford. In the early a part of the 20 th century, railings separated the church from the road. These have when you consider that been eliminated.

The Cathedral turned into refurbished in 1977 and a brand new altar became hooked up so that Mass might be celebrated advert populum. A gift of ten crystal chandeliers from Waterford Crystal more desirable the dignity of the Cathedral. A whole reflooring of the building and a restructuring of the vestry came about in the early Nineties. Further work became finished in November 2006 with a re-healthy of structure to the indoors and outdoors.
