About Gembira Loka Zoo
It is a Yogyakarta’s zoological garden located at special Region in Java, Indonesia.
This Zoo was opened in 1956 and it comprises a botanical garden, orchid nursery, artificial lake, children's park, numerous bridges across the Gajahwong River.
It has a huge collection of approximately 470 animals includes Komodo dragons, orang-utans, gibbons, and a hippopotamus are interesting to see.
The size of the park is 54 acres.
Bring your kids to the touch pool, where they can dip their hands in water and feel the slippery skin of the aquatic creatures. Let fish nibble the dry skin of your feet in the fish therapy section.
