About Monumen Kapal Selam
Monument Submarine also referred as Monkasel is the largest submarine museum in Asia, built on the banks of the Kalimas river, Surabaya. This monument was built with the idea of elders of the Navy Submarine. KRI Pasopati 410, including the Whiskey Class SS type, was made at Vladi Wostok Russia in 1952.
This submarine participated in the Navy since 29 January 1962, the main task was to destroy anti-shipping, surveillance and silent raids. The submarine monument KRI Pasopati 410 has supporting facilities such as Video Rama, Music Life, Kids Swimming Pool and Water Recreation at Kalimas River. There is a souvenir booth and parking area. Inside the complex also stands a big stage for a particular event.
