About Visapur Fort
Visapur is a Fort near Lonavala. The visapur and Lohagad are twin forts. The height of the fort from sea level is 3556 feet. It is larger than Lohagad, and at a higher elevation.
There are caves and cisterns of water within the fort. Besides, the ruins of the Peshwa's palace are also to be found here. The huge carving of Hanuman and several temples dedicated to him are clustered all around. Hanuman was the patron deity of Visapur Fort.
