Vandalur

Vandalur is a registration town and private region in Southern piece of the metropolitan city of Chennai in the Indian territory of Tamil Nadu. It is an area in the southwestern piece of Chennai city. Vandalur is classified "Passageway Gateway of Beautiful Chennai city". It has the Arignar Anna Zoological Park, which houses some uncommon types of wild widely ied vegetation. The area is served by Vandalur railroad station of the Chennai Suburban Railway network.Soon the proposed mono and metro rail.

Vandalur is a local location around 6 km toward the south of Tambaram. It is nearby the Neighborhood of Peerkankaranai, Perungalathur, Mudichur, Mannivakkam. Arignar Anna Zoological Park situated here otherwise called Vandalur Zoo. The Park was the principal open zoo in India. Vandalur Zoo is initially made in 1855 close Park Town, Chennai City. Later in 1875, this zoo had extended and moved out of the city. In 1979, the Tamil Nadu Forest office moved this zoo to Vandalur save backwoods covering a region of 1300 sections of land.

This zoo was introduced in year 1985 and it's one of the biggest in South Asia. There are absolutely 81 fenced in areas. In excess of 170 types of warm blooded animals, aviaries and reptiles are displayed in the zoo. Vandalur slope is a piece of Arignar Anna Zoological Park and open passage to the slope is confined. The peak gives a wonderful perspective of Bay of Bengal. Tamil Nadu Forest office has a sapling focus under the lower region of Vandalur slope.
