About Tsunami Memorial Park

Tsunami Memorial Park is positioned in Kanyakumari state of Tamilnadu. Kanyakumari the southern tip of India, became one of the many affected regions within the Tsunami that rocked the world in Dec-2004. It become reportedthat round 10700 human beings from the country of Tamil Nadu, along with round 800 humans fromKanyakumari misplaced their lives inside the mass devastation that happened from the massive waves of the tsunami. The Kanyakumari Tsunami Memorial changed into later erected at the beach of Kanyakumari, in thememory of all those who died in the 2004 Tsunami.

The Kanyakumari Tsunami memorial monumentwas designed and built by using Shri. B. Kanagaraj Cangan. It is a sixteen feet high blue colored statuemade from steel. The monument shows a massive wave tsunami wave this is held in area through a hand, The plaque underneath the statue reads 'In memory of individuals who lost their lives in Tsunami on 26-12-2004'. Thousands of humans touring Kanyakumari pay homage to the Tsunami victims at this monument whenthey visit the area. Tsunami Memorial is certainly a very special monument in honor of the human beings wholost their lives underneath the havoc wrecked with the aid of the huge waves.
