Araku Tribal Museum is located on the Araku Road in the center of the Araku Valley. Situated in the surrounding area of Padmapuram Botanical Gardens, this place offers a look at the life of the tribal communities indigenous to the Eastern Ghats. Araku Tribal Museum is constructed with mud and clay and has a rough theme to it.
The museum comprises various tribal clay figures, engrossed in their day-to-day chores. Other artefacts belonging to the tribal community that are on display in the museum include jewelry, hunting tools and kitchen utensils. The museum is well equipped with sign boards, which provides requisite information to aid the visitors.
To promote tribal art, the museum also encompasses a Tribal Art and Crafts Centre, where workshops and exhibitions are held regularly. In the museum, accommodation facilities, eateries and stores selling indigenous souvenirs like handicrafts items made by the tribes can be found.
