About Skiing

Skiing is another thrilling activity for which thousands of tourists visit Manali. One can indulge in some high adrenaline skiing sessions in snow clad mountains that surround the hill station. Different iations in skiing include the heli-skiing or yak-skiing, which is enough to make your experience delightful.

The two main iations in skiing in Manali offers is – Short skiing trail which is estimated at around 7km and the long skiing trail which is estimated at around 14 km in total length. For a one-time trip and great skiing experience, one needs to shell out a minimum of Rs 500. The skiing in Manali begins in February and extends to mid-April.

For beginners, the Rohtang pass and Solang valley are recommended whereas for expert skiers heli-skiing is a great option too, wherein the pros will be dropped off via helicopter on some of the highest slopes.
