About Sivagiri Mutt

Sivagiri Mutt, one of the well known ashrams, was built up by Sree Narayana Guru, the acclaimed savant and social reformer. The preface of the site houses the tomb of the originator and his 'samadhi', which draws in huge number of individuals. Built around 1904, the site filled in as the home of the master until 1928, when he cleared out for his magnificent residence.

The ashram is situated at the highest point of the Sivagiri Hill close Varkala and is for the most part gone by travelers amid 30 December to 1 January, when a yearly celebration is composed. Wearing yellow clothing, the sages and holy people living in the ashram proliferate the wonders of One Caste, One Religion and One God.
