Sirpur Lake

Sirpur lake, Holkar family's gift to the city in excess of a hundred years back. which covers 600 sections of land on the Indore-Dhar parkway, was a characteristic natural surroundings for fowls till the eighties, when its decay started. The rainfed lake, which goes under the Indore Municipal Corporation. Sirpur lake is a completely secured water body and a protected flying creature living space where transitory winged animals keep on coming on their regular visits each year. Expansive feathered creatures like Greater Flamingo and Sarus Crane both visit Sirpur Lake. Sirpur Lake and Bird Sanctuary can be come to by going on the Dhar Road. It is in the Chandan Nagar region of Indore.
