About Shringeri Sharadamba Temple

Sri Sharadamba Temple is a famous Hindu temple dedicated to goddess Saraswati inside the holy city of Sringeri in Karnataka, India. The Sharadamba Temple at Sringeri is an eighth-century temple, founded by way of Sri Adi Shankaracharya. It housed a sandalwood statue of Shardamba in a standing posture, which changed into set up through Adi Shankarachaya till the Vijayanagara rulers and Sri Vidyaranya installed a seated gold statue of Sri Shardamba inside the 14th century.
