About Pookode Lake

Pookode Lake is the best places to visit in Wayanad. It is the most delightful freshwater lake situated in South India settled in the midst of the extensive evergreen woods and large numbers of mountains slants existing at an elevation of in excess of 770 meters above ocean level. The lake is arranged near Kalpetta and recognized as one of the littlest and most elevated freshwater lake in Kerala. The lake gives space to Panamaram, a little waterway that moves toward becoming Kabani River to begin.

The Pookode Lake is spreading over a zone of 8.5 hectares with a profundity of around 6.5 meters. Geological specialists found that the lake looks like the state of India's guide.
