Pinjore is a town in the Panchkula district, nearby Parwanoo. The town is set at an elevation of 1,800 feet above the sea level in a valley, overlooking the Shivalik Hills.
Pinjore is known for its Pinjore Gardens, which are also called Yadavindra Gardens. These are 17th century Mughal Gardens. They are a paradise on earth for nature lovers. The annual Mango festival is held here, every year. The garden houses a mini zoo, Japanese garden, nursery and a number of beautiful picnic spots. It has a number of fountains and grand pavilions. There are seven terrace steps which descend into the distance, creating a heavenly sight. It is full of beautiful, aromatic flowers, mango orchards and litchi orchards. The gardens are brightly lit at night. They are open to visitors from 7 am to 10 pm. During the Baisakhi and Mango festivals, it sees visitors from far and wide.
