About Ooty Golf Course

Ooty Golf Course is placed within the town of Ooty in the nation of Tamil Nadu, India. The golfing direction is about at an altitude of 7200 toes. It is owned through the Gymkhana Club in Ooty. The direction extends over 193.56 acres and contains 18 holes. Colonel Fane Sewell, the then Secretary of the Blue Mountains Tennis and Cricket Club, shaped the golfing course in March 1891, which to start with comprised nine holes. Golf enthusiasts fashioned a golf club close by, called the Gymkhana membership in September 1896.

In 1929, hydraulic structures have been installed to pump water from a close-by circulate the usage of a hydraulic ram for garage in a water tank.
