Mamleshwar Temple, situated in Mamal, lies at a separation of about a mile from Pahalgam. With its starting point going back to AD 400, this sanctuary has been a critical place of journey in the district for a considerable length of time. With a rich history going back to the twelfth century, Mamaleshwar is among the old sanctuaries in Pahalgam. Set on the bank of River Lidder, the sanctuary is devoted to Lord Shiva. The sanctuary encases a plinth and a Shiva Lingam, with a shimmering water spring secured by a crevasse. Found One km downstream from Pahalgam, travelers for the most part stroll to the sanctuary from the town. The sacred complex besides has a sanctum that is completely enhanced with gold, and was set up amid the rule of a previous ruler. The sanctuary is unmistakably a standout amongst the most appealing visitor spots to visit in Pahalgam.
