Krishnasar Lake

Located at an altitude of 3801 m, this lake is one of the best lakes in Kashmir to see for. This lake is surrounded by lush green trees and the backdrop of the mountain full of snow just makes it look more divine. 

Krishnasar lake has always been a major tourist destination in Sonamarg and people from all over the world comes to see the sight. Apart from the beauty of nature, you can also do activities like angling and fishing trout there. The lake is full of trout fishes and this is a kind of salmonid fish.

The best time to go there is during the summer season. During winter the temperature goes down to the freezing level and the lake also freezes.
