The Japanese Garden is a park positioned in Sector 31 in union territory of Chandigarh. Japanese garden is a deliberate space, generally outdoors, set apart for the show, cultivation, or entertainment of flowers and other styles of nature. The lawn can incorporate each herbal and guy-made materials. Built in 2014 on 13 acres of Land, by Indian Government, it became inaugurated with the aid of Shivraj Patil on 7 November 2014. It consists of water our bodies, pagoda towers, water falls, meditation centre, a buddha idol and golden bamboos.
This is first ever lawn in Chandigarh with Japanese touch. The garden has been evolved at a price of Rs 6 crore. The Japanese Garden includes two phases. The Phase-1 was inaugurated on 7 November 2014 and the Phase-2 of the park turned into opened to public on 4th June 2016. Both the stages of the park are related via an underground tunnel embellished with the aid of lovely Japanese paintings on each facets. The lawn is designed using Japanese architecture and every of the elements within the lawn is given a completely unique Japanese touch.
