About Chandragiri Hill

The Chandragiri Hills are located 7 kilometers from Thankot at a height of 2551 meters from the sea level. The towering peaks and the breathtaking views of the whole Kathmandu Valley enchants the tourists. Covered with the lush green blanket of flora, it is a bountiful and pristine landscape.

The picturesque views of the Kathmandu Valley and the Himalayan ranges from Annapurna to Everest makes one feel like seeing the whole of Nepal from this hill. Chandragiri Hills carry historical significance as well since it was these Hills where King Prithvi Narayan Shah caught the first glimpse of the Kathmandu Valley.
