Bhayaharan Nath Dham

Bhayaharan Nath Dham is an ancient Shiva Temple situated in the village of Katra Gulab Singh, on the banks of the river Bakulahi. The temple enshrines a Shiva linga which is believed that the shiv linga was set up by the Pandavas at this place. As per the legends, the Shiva linga of Bhayaharan Nath was established by Bhima, after killing the demon Bakasur.

The Dham is a famous religious, historical and mythological site. The Dham is located about 30 kilometers south of the district headquarters of Pratapgarh and Allahabad. The Dham is spread over an area of approximately 10 acres. The place in addition to the main temple resists Hanuman, Shiva-Parvati, Santoshi Ma and Radha Krishna temple, etc.

The natural beauty of the place with the addition of river Bakulahi emerges the feeling of spiritualism. The oldest religious site festive the day of Maha Shivrartri which is fairly huge and is celebrated over many years including numerous of people. The Maha Shivrartri festival is celebrated four days.
