Sangla Valley has many small villages one can visit to have a look at the lifestyle of the inhabitants and the natural setting of the village. One such village in the Sangla Valley is the Basteri village. It is situated about 8 kms from Sangla.
For shopping enthusiasts, this is a must visit. One can shop some interesting local handicrafts from there. Famous items include handmade shawls and kinnauri caps. Visitors also buy pine nuts or chilgoza which is grown in abundance in the village. Visitors must also visit the trout fishing farm, which comes on the way to the Basteri village.
