About Banjhakri Falls

Technically called as Ban-Jhakri Waterfall, this beautiful waterfall is quite well known for its beautiful pristine looks. Having a 100-foot height, this waterfall nestles in a landscaped park which is about 7km from the Gangtok. This waterfall is a quite close form Ranka Monastery. Due to the greenery which is spread around the waterfall, this is a popular picnic spot for all.

Bustling with Sikkim architecture, this waterfall has a manmade lake with a dragon made at the center. The architectural style which is used in the making of this park resembles traditional Sikkim architecture. Coming to its name Ban Jhakri- translates to Jungle Priest. This is one of the most amazing places to visit in Gangtok. Make sure to add this to your bucket list!
