Baltal

Baltal is situated at an elevation of two thousand and forty-three-meter height. The place is mainly sufficed as the halt destination to reach the divine pilgrimage spot; the Amarnath Cave. The place mainly serves as the base camp to all such devotees with essential arrangements of pitching up tents at night.

Baltal lies on the shore of the Sindh River, is located around fifteen kilometers away from the north of Sonamarg. The place falls under the foot of Zoji-la-Pass on the banks of the River Sindhu.
Through a meandering trek of fourteen kilometers from Baltal, one can reach the Holy Cave and during the Amarnath pilgrimage. Baltal is the definition of scenic beauty which surrounds the atmosphere with such mysticism.
