About Arvalem Caves / Pandava Caves
The Arvalem Caves are prominently known as ''Pandava Caves''. As per the history, the five Pandavas of the epic Mahabharata looked for asylum in these holes amid their outcast. The Arvalem Caves are particularly designed in the Buddhist give in style. The design of the caverns is straightforward yet engaging. The dividers are plain without any compositions on them.
The stone structure has been cut into laterite stone, with the asylum at the northern end and the vihara at the southern end. The secretive look of the caverns has been drawing in the visitors over long years. The nearness of the renowned Rudreshwar temple and a waterfall in its region makes this place an absolute necessity visit in panjim, Goa.
