About Anegudde Vinayaka Temple

Anegudde Vinayaka Temple is situated in Kumbhashi between Udupi and karwar around 9 Kms from Kundapur. It is situated at a separation of 25 Kms from Udupi, 86 Kms from Mangalore and 70 Kms from Murudeswar. Anegudde implies elephant Aane hillock Gudde. It is one of the seven spots of journey in the area called 'Parashurama Srishti' which are accepted to be made by sage Parashurama. As per Legend, Sage Agasthya touched base from Heaven to perform Yagna religious offering to satisfy the Devas for rain.

Tulabharam, a custom of offering to God assets in weight likeness a man is regularly done in this temple by aficionados. Ganesha Chauthi is the primary celebration in this temple.As of now Lord Ganesha favored Bheema of Pandavas, with a sword. Bheema battled Kumbasura and kills him. The primary sanctum sanctorum contains the great figure of Vinayaka with silver Armor, in standing stance.
