About Kazincbarcika
Kazincbarcika is an industrial city in Borsod-Abauj-Zemplen county, Northern Hungary. It lies inside the valley of the river Sajo, 20 kilometres far from the county capital, Miskolc. Kazincbarcika was created for the duration of the Socialist industrialization, whilst several villages have been unified with the aim of creating an business city to provide workers for the newly built Borsodi Vegyi Kombinat. The village of Sajokazinc turned into first mentioned in 1240. It changed into a particularly agricultural village until 1850, whilst the primary coal mine turned into opened. The village of Barcika got here into life with the unification of villages,
Upper- and Lower-Barcika. Although a mine was opened close by, agriculture remained the villagers' essential profession until the Twenties, while a massive energy plant was built. After World War II, Sajokazinc and Barcika had been united below the name Kazincbarcika. In 1954 it became granted city repute, and the nearby village of Berente was annexed. The metropolis already had 11 ,000 residents.
