Dean Castle

Dean Castle is situated in the Dean Castle Country Park in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, Scotland. It was the fortification for the Boyd Family, who were masters of Kilmarnock for more than 400 years. The Castle takes its name from 'The Dean' or lush valley, a typical place name in Scotland. Be that as it may, until around 1700 it was called Kilmarnock Castle.
