The Museum has works illustrative of the aesthetic and social existence of the locale. Features of Renaissance craftsmanship incorporate works by Ligier Richier in the Franciscan Church, and an imperative accumulation of recolored glass windows and models, for example, Christ in the Garden of Olives.

From that point forward the Museum has developed fundamentally, offering a presentation zone of 4,500m2 today spread more than a few exceptional structures in the core of the Old City, the Dukes' Palace, worked by the Dukes of Lorraine, a fine case of early Renaissance design in eastern France, the sixteenth Century Franciscan Convent and Church with tombs of the Lorraine family in its crypt.
