About Chateau de Foix

The Chateau de Foix is a castle which rules the town of Foix in the French departement of Ariege. An important tourist site, it is known as a focal point of the Cathars. It has been recorded since 1840 as a landmark historique by the French Ministry of Culture. Worked In the style of seventh century fortress, the palace is known from 987.
