About Basilica of Saints Nazarius and Celsus

The Basilica of Saints Nazarius and Celsus is a Roman Catholic minor basilica situated in the fortress of Carcassonne, France. It is a national landmark, and is in the Gothic-Romanesque structural custom. The sandstone basilica's floor plan depends on a Latin cross, inside estimating 59 m in absolute length, 16 m in nave width, and 36 m along the transept. The most established piece of the congregation is the Romanesque tripartite nave.

The fundamental passage in its north divider is framed by a Romanesque entrance of five subsiding curves more than two entryways. A post facade shapes the west divider, as is normal for medieval Languedocian church structures. The transept and choir were reconstructed in the Gothic style. The bigger windows in this piece of the congregation grant a superior enlightenment contrasted with the darker romansque nave. The focal recolored glass window of the choir from 1280 is one of the most established ones in the south of France.
