About Galway International Oyster & Seafood Festival

Irelands longest running and greatest gourmet extravaganza. The Rough Guide, ’50 things to do before you die’. A three day food competition celebrating oysters, seafood and our nearby background incorporating the World Oyster Opening Championships. Throughout the 3 day Irish food festival, there are masses of tantalising occasions for all to enjoy. Throughout the metropolis, for gourmets, there are Seafood trails, Foodie talks, Cooking demonstrations and tasting events in some of Galway’s excellent eating places.

 

The primary events are held within the Festival Marquee on Galway's Nimmo's Pier. Meet and make new pals sampling the Native Galway Oyster, looking the conventional 'Galway Hooker' sailboats parade by means of as sundown strategies and live tune performs. The Irish National and World Oyster Opening Championships take area at the Friday and Saturday.
