About Ferrara Balloon Festival
More than 120,000 visitors are expected from 6 to 15 September at the urban park G. Bassani of Ferrara to watch the spectacle of the "air giants": the large hot-air balloons that slowly take shape at dawn and sunset when the conditions weather conditions are favorable. Watch the air giants inflating, observe the pilots 'maneuvers, hear the burners' noise and heat and finally see the balloons rising in the air is a truly thrilling sight.
But it can also be an unforgettable experience because you can book a free flight. Take off from the Mongolfiera Arena in the Giorgio Bassani Park and let yourself be carried by the wind enjoying the spectacle of the landscape from above. You land in complete safety in a flat spot identified during the flight. A ground crew will take passengers back to the park by car. It is also possible to make a bound flight: the balloons anchored to the ground with ropes rise about 30 meters, offering a beautiful spectacle from above.
