About Ny Kirke

Ny Kirke is a 12th-century round church placed within the village of Nyker some 7 km from Ronne at the Danish island of Bornholm. Built within the Romanesque fashion with two storeys, it includes frescos from diverse durations and a pulpit with seventeenth century-panels. Like Bornholm's other medieval church buildings, Ny Kirke turned into built within the twelfth century however is generally considered to be the youngest of the island's 4 round churches. It became at the beginning known as "Ecclesia Omnium Sanctorum. The gift name dates from the middle of the 16th century.

The church includes an apse, a rectangular choir and a spherical nave, all from the Romanesque duration. The semicircular tympanum over the south door is crafted from a unmarried block of limestone.
