You will be picked up at the airport/railway station and then drive to Shillong 3 hours, the capital of the state of Meghalaya and home to the Khasi tribe. Shillong has rightly earned the sobriquet of Scotland of the East owing to the rolling hills, beautiful scenery and climate. On the way to Shillong you will visit the beautiful Umiam lake, a major tourist attraction located just before entering Shillong. Rest of the day at Hotel.

Drive from Shillong to Mawlynnong, a picturesque village located in East Khasi Hills along the India-Bangladesh border. d as the cleanest village in Asia by Discover India magazine in 2003, the modestly existing Mawlynnong has alternatively been known as God’s own garden too. Go for a short trek of the village and see the Khasi way of life and meet the locals. You will then visit Dawki and river Umgnot, with pictures of crystal clear waters popular in social media. Drive back to Shillong.

In the morning you will visit Shillong peak and get a bird’s eye view of the entire city of Shillong and then go to Elephanta falls. Then drive to Cherrapunjee, the erstwhile rainiest place in the world. On the way, experience the beautiful rolling hills, the flora and the waterfalls, most importantly the Nohkalikai or Seven Sisters Falls, a seven segmented waterfall which falls from a height of over a 1000 ft. After done your breakfast Check out from the hotel and drive to Guwahati airport/ railway station for your onward journey home
