Today check out from Pelling, and traverse to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. Gangtok is aroung 110 Km from Pelling, via NH 510. Reach Gangtok and check in to your hotel booked beforehand for you. Gangtok is abundant in tourist attraction sites. Rumtek Monastery, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, a place where you will find a glimpse of Tibet,Thakurbari Temple, Enchey Monastery, Sikkim Himalayan Zoological Park, Tashi View etc. are places worth a visit. Tsomgo Lake is a lake, situated at an elevation of 12, 313 feet, some 40 km from Gangtok. This lake considered sacred by people of Sikkim, is a glacial lake being filled by the surrounding glaciers. Home to migratory birds Tsomgo Lake remains frozen in winters and is a sight to watch in summers too. Enjoy time in photography and later visit Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, another 20 km from the lake. Harbhajan Singh was a soldier of Punjab regiment but was posted here to patrol Indo-China Border. Under unknown circumstances he died, but his spirit is still believed to be present there on duty towards mother nation. The temple is believed to have great fulfilling powers.You also have the option of visiting Nathu la pass lying in close proximity to the temple. After a visit to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Temple, return to hotel.
