Day 01: Arrival in Guwahati by Flighttrain drive to -Shillong (approx... 125 kms3 hours/’ drive)
Arrive Guwahati by Airtrain, meet and greet at Airportrailway station, after warm welcome you will be driven to Shillong
Drive to Shillong, approx. 3hours drive. En-route, guest can enjoy scenic beauty of Borapani (guest can take some pics here) also can enjoy boating in the lake.
Shillong: The romantic city of Shillong is one of the important tourist destinations in the northeast. The Romantic city, Shillong is often referred to as the Scotland of the East due to its striking similarity with the Scottish highlands. Shillong has its own charm, different from other hill stations, and presents a natural scenic beauty with waterfalls, brooks, pine grooves and gardens. The place, the people, the flora and fauna and the climate all combine to make Shillong an ideal resort throughout the year. Local tribes like the Khasi, Jaintia and Garo tribes add color to this hilly city.

Morning proceed for day excursion of Mwallynong Village (approx., 3 hours/’ drive on way) and Dawky
MwallynongThe Cleanest Village in Asia, In eastern India/’s Mawlynnong village, tidying up is a ritual that everyone /– from tiny toddlers to toothless grannies /– takes very seriously. This small, 600-odd person town in the Meghalaya region is renowned as the cleanest village in India. And for India, that/’s really saying something. Discarded bottles and crumpled food wrappers mixed with cow dung /– and worse /– are simply part of the topography in most of the country. Mawlynnong is already way ahead of the curve, though. It was declared the cleanest village in Asia in 2003 and the cleanest in India in 2005 by Discover India magazine. This claim to fame stuck, and the village has become a regional legend and source of pride. Walk in, and all the typical rubbish is mysteriously, miraculously absent.
At Mwallynong, one can visit the living root bridges in Riwai Village, adjacent to Mawlynnong to have a view of this unique bio-engineering achievement of the Khasis. Otherwise one can just laze around and enjoy the rustic idyll. One can climb up the bamboo watchtowers and have a bird/’s eye view of the region. Bamboo is an important part of local economy in any part of the North East. These /“sky views/” are further affirmations of the same, one can pay a small fee and climb up these 80-85 feet towers to have a good view of Bangladesh plains and also view of the village also is good from the top.
Later proceed for Dawki (Indo-Bangladesh Border) will provide you a serene view but will also add memories that you can cherish forever. The main attraction here apart from the extreme natural beauty and peace is the Dawki Bridge. It is a suspension bridge over the Umngot River and also serves as a place from where all tourists can enjoy some spectacular panoramic views.

Day 03: Shillong-Cherapunjee Excursion (approx.. 60 kmsapprox..2 hours/’ drive one way)

Morning proceed for day excursion of Cherapunjee (approx., 2 hours/’ drive on way) en-route visit Air force Museum, Ramakrishna Mission Ashram.
Cherrapunji currently the historical name Sohra is more commonly used; alternative spellings are Cherrapunjee and Charrapunji), is a subdivisional town in the East Khasi Hills district in the Indian state of Meghalaya. It is credited as being the wettest place on Earth. However, nearby Mawsynram currently holds that record. Though, it still holds the world record for the most rainfall in a calendar month and in a year. It received 9,300 mm (366 in) in July 1861 and 26,461 mm (1,041.75 in) between 1 August 1860 and 31 July 1861.
