Uttarkashi is a small and beautiful town, situated between two rivers, Varuna and Ashi, whose water flow into the Bhagirathi from either side of the town. Elevated, at a height of 1588 meters, this little town is very similar to Kashi and Varanasi, in that it has the same kind of temples and ghats and likewise, a north or uttar facing river.
Day 2 : uttarkashi to ganganani to gangotri and harsil back to uttarkashi
With packed breakfast and post Tea and Coffee leave for Gangotri early in the morning. Offering prayers and pooja darshan, later drive back to Uttarkashi , en route visit Gangnani & and Harsil. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.
Leave very early in the morning with packed breakfast for almost day long drive to Rudarparyag On your drive you would pass through Ganga giving way to Tehri Dam The Hydro Electric Project. Overnight stay in the hotel Rudarparyag
Day 5 : Badrinath to joshimath and back to Rudarprayag
Early morning, pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors Pitrus. There are other interesting sightseeing spot like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the Mukh of the Saraswati River. Just within the three kms of Badrinathjee. Joshimath is situated on the slopes above the confluence of the rivers Alaknanda and Dhauliganga. Of the four Maths established by Adi Shankaracharya, Joshimath is the winter seat of Badrinath.
