In excess of 150 local trees and bushes were planted in 2 huge round planting beds at River Forks Park, in downtown London. The venture, drove by the Riverforks Neighborhood Association, drew around 50 volunteers from the area and past. Notwithstanding the planting beds, another no-cut zone will circle the beds, enabling grasses and wildflowers to prosper.
This will likewise serve to secure the new beds. Later in the spring, Riverforks Neighborhood Association came back to plant a wildflower plant with help from the Julia Hunter Memorial Fund for Public Gardens. This was ReForest London's first year as a feature of London's Clean and Green Day.
