About Grimsby Museum

The Grimsby Museum is pleased to show a shocking accumulation of honor winning untamed life photography. The display incorporates the 30 winning photos from the 2010 Canadian Wildlife Photography of the Year Contest, sorted out by Canadian Geographic in association with the Canadian Museum of Nature and the Alliance of Natural History Museums of Canada. Judges chose these best photographs from 3,800 passages.

This people group gallery shows curios identifying with the historical backdrop of Grimsby and encompassing groups, from ancient times to the present day. The gallery offers training programs, visits, workshops for grown-ups and kids and nearby history distributions available to be purchased.

The primary tenants of the zone were the indigenous individuals of the area, who thrived from their careful investigation of the Niagara Peninsula's rich lakes and backwoods. The local gathering known to live around there was the Neutral Indians, which was an alliance of Iroquoian clans. As a result of the disclosure of the grave site discovered minutes from the Nelles house in 1976, it is presently regularly acknowledged that the Neutrals' dwelled in the Grimsby zone in the mid-1600s.
