Green Timbers Urban Forest

Green Timbers Urban Forest has changed enormously since the mid 1900s. Once a tourism hotspot for its transcending trees, the land was totally logged by 1929. Gratefully, the trees were soon replanted and the site named British Columbia's "Origination of Reforestation".

After a long keep running as a ranger service school and nursery, the land authoritatively turned into a recreation center in 1974.A significant part of the recreation center's prosperity is on account of the Green Timbers Heritage Society, a gathering of committed group individuals who have upheld for its assurance and stewardship for a long time.
