M - Museum Leuven

M - Museum Leuven or simply M is an art museum in the inner city of Leuven, Belgium, which was officially opened in 2009. The historical center has an accumulation of somewhere in the range of 46,000 works, which extend from late-Gothic depictions and models to sixteenth century neighborhood craftsmen, for example, Jan Rombouts I and Josse van der Baren to nineteenth century sketches and figures by different Flemish bosses including Constantin Meunier, Jef Lambeaux and George Minne. M - Museum Leuven proceeds with the city exhibition hall activities that began in the mid nineteenth century. In 1823, the principal historical center was established on the second floor of the Leuven City Hall.

Around one century later, the gathering was moved to the previous private living arrangement of the Mayor Leopold Vander Kelen in the noteworthy focus of Leuven. This area is presently the central display space of M Museum. Before it was opened in 2009, the M Museum building was redesigned after a plan by Belgian designer Stéphane Beel.
