Ghent s Gravensteen

This enormously amazing post was previously the stupendous home of the checks of Flanders who took their motivation for palace working from the massive châteaux the Crusaders worked in Syria.

Today, Gravensteen is one of Europe's best surviving cases of a moated post and has been unfathomably all around saved. Its solid and amazingly thick and high dividers take off up from the waters of the waterway Lieve right amidst the old town of Ghent, transcending the housetops of the encompassing roads.

Inside, the huge curved corridors and chambers contain displays of medieval life, yet it's simply the palace's design that is the genuine superstar. Move up the staircase to the rooftop for all-encompassing perspectives crosswise over town.
