Science Space

Science Space under the name of Science Center and Planetarium initially opened in 1989 and was situated in the old transient building, only north of the present area. The Center was first begun by Glen Moore and a group of excited volunteers. With displays from Expo 88 and Questacon, the Center turned into a well-known nearby fascination and began pulling in numerous individuals to the locale. In 1998 Wollongong endured serious surges causing annihilating impacts all through the region. These surges fundamentally harmed the display, shows, and gear.

In 2000, together with help from the University of Wollongong UOW and the NSW Government, Science Space was reconstructed and opened its ways to the general population.
