About Albany Heritage Park
The Heritage park was established by the city of albany in 2010 and Albany Heritage Park is a 260-hectare parkland reserve set in the heart of Albany, Western Australia. to integrate ious historical,ancient, natural, cultural and recreational assets located on Mount Clarence and Mount Adelaide, and this Park incorporates a range of significant pre- and post-European cultural and historical attractions many with military connections including Princess Royal Fortress, the Desert Mounted Corp Memorial, Padre White Lookout, and the Avenue of Honour.The centenary of the First World War, and Albany’s place in the foundation of the Anzac identity, have focussed local, state and national attention on the site, leading to creation of a National Anzac Centre within the pre-existing Princess Royal Fortress.
