Torre Monumental

Torre Monumental and before 1982 Torre de los Ingleses is a check tower situated in the barrio of Retiro, Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is arranged in the Plaza Fuerza Aérea Argentina by the Calle San Martín and Avenida del Libertador.

This Elizabethan-style clock tower, which some call the Argentine Big Ben, was a blessing from the British people group of Buenos Aires in the wake of building the adjacent Retiro railroad station complex.

The pinnacle was renamed the Torre Monumental, because of the exceptionally normal post-Islas Malvinas/Falkland Islands War pattern of renaming anything related with Great Britain, yet about all local people still call it the British Clock Tower.
